SLAVENS TO RETIRE AFTER 2012

It has come as a shock to all of us but Tim Slavens plans to retire after the 2012 racing season.. With the ever rising cost of headsup racing and the weekly expenses of running a small tire car Tim has decided to park his trusty 2000 Camaro that has won himself a few local Outlaw 10.5 championships.

Slavens plans to spend more time with his kids, Tyler and Hannah, racing their junior dragsters along with the help of his wonderful wife Michelle. Tim will still be at the track helping out fellow TYDO customers Junior Surface, Jake Gier, Jason Brown and his nephew John Slavens.

The Slavens family is one of the nicest group of people that I have dealt with and I'm sure they will have a great time in 2013 and beyond. The TYDO Race Cars family would like to wish them the best of luck in 2013. As the old saying goes, when one door shuts another one always opens...
